Mindspace and Perth Theatre have been working with independent writer Jane Archer to deliver creative writing sessions aimed at boosting mental wellbeing.

A relaxed introduction to creative writing in a group setting, the sessions explore individual writing with options to share with others in the group. Each week builds on the previous week’s exercises.

The course is a great opportunity to develop creative interests as well as providing a safe space to connect and share with others with similar experiences, thus reducing social isolation.

Feedback from past participants:

'I feel supported, unjudged and my story is accepted and validated by others'

'I benefited from the power of other people's voices. It was wonderful and a privilege to be part of everyone else's story'

'this is something social, time just for me to express myself, that gives me a break away from full-time caring'

Our Mindspace creative writing groups are now fully subscribed. Please visit the Mindspace website for information on mental wellbeing support.
