A gripping story of how one woman went from a haute cuisine head chef to a convicted inmate running a prison kitchen. Sabrina Mahfouz’s Chef originally premiered at the Edinburgh Festival 2014 to great critical acclaim, winning a Scotsman First Fringe Award and the production gained a Stage Award for Acting Excellence. The Gaiety’s new production of the play is directed by André Agius, who has been praised for his razor-sharp pace, dialogue and deeply layered characters, his strong visual and aural coherence, and for his bold and inventive directorial style.
